• Prolonged stress without time to recover

• Intrusive memories or flashbacks
• Nightmares or disrupted sleep
• Feeling constantly on guard or alert
• Emotional numbness or withdrawal
• Avoidance of reminders or situations
• Difficulty feeling safe or in control
